The 69 Eyes are traveling anniversary tour and a new album in Kiev
This year has become the jubilee for The 69 Eyes - the band has been on the stage for thirty years, however, they are by no means losing momentum. In May, musicians announced the album West End, which will be released on September 13, 2019, and are going to tour. However, this will not only be a tour in support of the album, but a great celebration of the 30th anniversary of the collective. Unlike many bands who, before such dates, release a selection of their best creations, The 69 Eyes produces an album of completely new tracks. Therefore, in this tour fans will hear not only the most famous songs - Lost Boys, Brandon Lee, Dance d`Amour, Never Say Die, Betty Blue, Perfect Skin, Gothic Girl - but also fresh new material. "We are going to go on tour for four years, so do not be surprised if we play in countries and continents that have not been playing for a long time," says Jyrki 69.
The 69 Eyes is a legendary gothic rock band from Finland that sold more than one million albums. Their musical style is described as a weighed blend of Gothic darkness and guitar rock 'n' roll. Their first record, which received the status of gold, became Gothic Girl's single, but there are still plenty of gold and platinum albums on the band's account.
The West End album for The 69 Eyes is already the 12th disc. New tracks are recorded with the participation of such high-end artists as Danny Filt with Cradle of Filth, Wednesday13 and Calico Cooper of Beastö Blancö. The eleven songs of Longlife are rock hymns full of gravity, macabre moments of "memento mori" and black humor. This album is a group dance in the ruins of our world. The first single of the album was the track 27 and done.
